About

At Optimum Spine we believe every body is unique — and so is the care it deserves. Our role is to walk beside you, offering precision, honesty and practical guidance while your body does what it was built to do: heal.

We start by listening — really listening — to understand what's happening and what you need from us. From there we look, we test, we measure, and we explain everything we find in plain language. Every visit is a safe space to ask questions, feel progress and move forward without pressure.

Meet the founder

Meet Dr. Osorio

Optimum Spine was founded by Dr. Alex Osorio, a Doctor of Chiropractic who blends corrective care with a lifestyle approach focused on wellness and prevention. His work is grounded in a simple belief: the body heals from the inside out when nothing is interfering with it.

He opened the doors of Optimum Spine in Doral in March 2020, after several years with one of the fastest-growing practices in South Florida. Today his patients include families, athletes, and many artists and professionals from the entertainment industry.

Dr. Alex Osorio

“Chiropractic isn't about fixing people. It's about removing what's in the way so they can heal themselves.”

— Dr. Alex Osorio

Background

Born in Chicago and raised in Puerto Rico from the age of six, Dr. Osorio grew up on a baseball field. He played NCAA baseball for West Texas A&M University while earning his degree in Exercise Physiology. Multiple surgeries and a stubborn hip injury sent him to a chiropractor for the first time — and along with his recovery came something unexpected: after twenty years of insomnia, he started sleeping. Understanding how the nervous system controls every function of the body was his turning point. He finished his pre-med studies at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and graduated from Life University, the largest chiropractic school in the world.

Philosophy

Just like your car, your body needs regular maintenance to prevent problems and perform at its peak. Checking your spine regularly removes interference from your nervous system so it can work to its full potential — and you feel better all around. Beyond pain relief, routine care keeps your whole system running efficiently. You can't just put gas in the car and expect it to run forever.

Giving back

In 2016 Dr. Osorio co-founded Chiropractic Worldwide Missions, a non-profit that brings doctors from around the world to serve people who could never afford care. Working with local foundations, churches and non-profits, the team has treated children and the elderly in rural communities across Colombia and Brazil.

The people who walk beside you.

About Optimum Spine
  • Chiropractic care can support people of different ages, lifestyles and stages of life, from those seeking relief or recovering from an injury to those who want to care for their mobility and well-being.

Certain adjustments or techniques may not be appropriate in situations such as:

Acute fractures Dislocations or joint instability Active infections affecting bones or joints Tumors or cancer affecting the spine or bone tissue Other medical conditions requiring prior evaluation or clearance

In these cases, your safety comes first. If chiropractic care is not appropriate for you, we will tell you and guide you on the next step.

  • First, we want to understand what is happening with you.

We begin with a conversation about your symptoms, health history and what you want to get back to doing or improve. Then we assess your posture, mobility and musculoskeletal function. When clinically indicated, we may request or perform imaging studies such as X-rays.

This information helps us explain our findings, whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you and the next steps.

The New Patient Special includes this initial evaluation.

  • In general, a chiropractic adjustment should not be painful. We use instrument-assisted techniques and gentle, controlled manual techniques selected for each patient’s needs, condition and comfort.

Not everyone receives the same type of adjustment. Before we begin, we explain which technique we will use and why.

Some people may experience mild, temporary soreness after a session, similar to how they feel after exercise.

  • There is no single frequency for everyone. It depends on your evaluation, your needs and the goals we agree on together.

After your initial evaluation, we will explain our recommendations. If chiropractic care is appropriate for you, we will develop a plan with a visit frequency suited to your case.

The plan is reviewed periodically and may change as your needs and progress change.

  • Care should always be adapted to the person and their stage of life.

During pregnancy, we use specific techniques adapted to the changes in the mother’s body. For babies and children, the evaluation and techniques are also adapted to their age, development and individual needs.

  • Yes. Our doctors and front desk team speak English and Spanish fluently, so you can receive care in whichever language feels most comfortable.
